Accompanying and coaching for auditions
I love working with students as a piano accompanist. When I work with an instrumental or vocal student, it is a chance for us to work together intensively on individual pieces. In fact, I try to work in consultation with the student’s regular teacher. We reinforce what the regular teacher is working on and add to it. In addition, we go over practice strategies for keeping pieces fresh. Keeping pieces fresh through competition season, or in the long run-up to a recital, is part of the work we do together.
